Dr. Laurie Estes, DDS, MSD

Dr. Laurie Estes is an East Bay native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Davis, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She went on to complete her orthodontic residency at the same school, where she earned her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry.
With more than 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Estes has treated patients of all ages using both braces and clear aligners, bringing a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every treatment plan. She is active in the dental community, currently serving as Immediate Past President of the Berkeley Dental Society, and holds memberships in the California and American Dental Associations, the California and American Association of Orthodontists, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Estes’ path to orthodontics is personal. Her own orthodontic treatment as a child transformed how she felt about her smile, and by age 13 she knew she wanted to become an orthodontist. She considers it the best job in the world, and loves helping patients of all ages find their confidence.
Dr. Estes and her husband live in Orinda with their two young children and their dog and cat. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring local parks and camping with her family, baking, snowboarding, and is currently learning to play tennis.
