Dr. Eric Axelrode
Dr. Eric Axelrode received his B.A. in economics from U.C. Santa Cruz. He received his DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Eric completed a year of general practice residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland Oregon, treating medically compromised patients. He practiced general dentistry in Oakland and San Pablo for three years prior to completing his orthodontic residency at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. During his residency he earned his certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Eric brings a unique approach in delivering excellent orthodontic care while understanding first hand the needs of the general dentist.
Dr. Eric and his wife, Monica, have two children, Jean-Luc and Leah. He is a native of Orinda and graduated from Miramonte High School. After studying in various places, he wanted to return to his roots to raise a family. Dr. Eric and his family live in Moraga, and enjoy being part of the community both personally and professionally. He enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, skiing and traveling.
Dr. Mark Axelrode
Dr. Mark Axelrode received his B.A. in biology from U.C. San Diego. He received his DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco where he was elected to the dental honor society, and attended UCLA for his orthodontic residency where he earned his certificate and Master of Science in Oral Biology. Dr. Mark has been practicing orthodontics since 1994, and enjoys providing outstanding care to his patients.
Dr. Mark is the proud father of three children: Samuel, Brigitte and Angelique. In his free time, Dr. Mark can be found on the golf course, skiing or spending time with his family.
Dr. Vicky Chiu
Dr. Vicky Chiu’s early years were spent under the sunny skies and among the saguaro-filled mountains of Tucson, Arizona. Her journey in dentistry began at the University of California, San Francisco, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Her passion for orthodontics led her to New York University, where she completed her specialty training in dentofacial orthopedics, receiving comprehensive training that shaped her into a skilled orthodontist.
Today, Dr. Vicky Chiu is a board-certified orthodontist, recognized by the American Board of Orthodontics for her expertise. She holds memberships with prominent dental organizations such as the American Association of Orthodontics, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Her commitment to excellence is evident as she continuously engages with the latest research and innovative techniques in orthodontics to provide top-tier care to her patients.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Chiu cherishes the time she spends with her family and friends. She also enjoys the companionship of her fluffy Pomeranian, making the most of her moments outside the office. Her balance of professional dedication and personal life enriches her ability to bring smiles to her patients’ faces, both through her skill and her warm, caring personality.
